Fly Away Butterfly?

A butterfly stifled in its cocoon, struggling to get free and fly away.

The butterfly finds the struggle too hard to bear and starts 'losing it'.

So the butterfly gives up, compromises and is fine with being just a moth in the cocoon for the rest of its life.

Is it really fair to the cocoon??
